Ride-Along Cart Policy
Aberdeen Golf Club allows a maximum of three (3) golf carts per tee time.
When a foursome is filled, only one ride-along cart (two passengers) may be available. In some cases, two guests from separate twosomes may be required to share a single cart in order to comply with the three-cart maximum.
Ride-along carts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Weekend Fee: $35
- Weekday Fee: $25
Availability is limited and not guaranteed.
Winter Cart Path Only Policy
During the off-season months, Aberdeen Golf Club operates under a Cart Path Only policy. This practice is essential to protecting our zoysiagrass fairways, which go dormant during winter.
Zoysiagrass is particularly vulnerable when it is not actively growing. In cold St. Louis winter conditions, turf does not recover from wear caused by golf car traffic—especially during dry periods. Repeated traffic on dormant turf can compact the soil, damage the crown of the grass plant, and create hard-pan lies that may persist well into spring.
By keeping carts on paths during the winter, we allow the fairways to:
- Recover more quickly once temperatures rise
- Promote healthy spring green-up
- Reduce compaction and uneven playing surfaces
- Maintain the firm, high-quality conditions our players expect throughout the season
This policy ultimately leads to better playing conditions earlier in the year and helps preserve the long-term health of the course. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to protect the course during this critical dormant period.
Thank you for helping us take care of Aberdeen Golf Club.
